What is this gadget. What is the biggest size should you use. Does your state have a size limit. Why shouldn’t you make a very big hole. How thick should hard ice be before it is safe to walk out on and fish. Unscramble this and make a hole with it. GURAE.
Well, it depends on who much you weigh, plus equipment. Just remember if you’re walking on thin-ice, you’re walking alone!
I have cooked my share of this crab. Spot Shrimp.& king crab. I use salt water right out of the water they all live in. If you cook these in fresh water you will have crab that in my opinion is tasteless. Also I add paprika gives the shell of the crap a very red look. Once you have crab cooked this way you will do this all the time! The Ricky Sitka.
Dungenous,Crab: 1: Lg.Pot filled,3/4 with water 2: 2 Tablespoons’ Kosher salt 3: 1 thin ring of Lemon 4: 1Tablespoon “Old Bay” 5: 2 Tablespoons’ butter 6: Bring to rolling boil, add crab or shrimp or what ever. Cook til done and enjoy. TSIG, Yum,Yum. (That Shit is Good)
I'm sure most fisherman have encountered or seen someone who is territorial about their fishing spots. You know, that guy who will set up his rods spaced out a mile long and not let you cast out near one. Or the guy that will cast close enough to you to hook you.
My question is, how close is too close? I'm a patient man but some people really push it. Rant over.

Fishing is fun, then sometimes it’s not. It’s really territorial at best. If you’re within casting distance of another fisherman in my opinion, you are to close. But then again, we don’t own the water. Here’s a true life fishing example. When I began bass fishing in Washington, in 1968, I fished the banks, bridges, docks etc.. I dreamt of gettin a boat So I could fish any where I wanted. . Then it happened. I got my first boat and what did I do? I fished the banks, points and docks. WHY? THATS WHERE THE MAJORITY OF FISH ARE1 Figure it out? Fishing is fun. If someone wantS to plop down next to you, welcome it. Meet a new friend and share experiences. The waters are available to “all”.
I want to put braid on my spinning reel. I have 150 yards of 20# power pro. How do I calculate how much 20# mono I use for backing. I want to make sure I use all 150 yards of braid and that I fill my spool properly. Thanks for all that honest answers that don't make fun of my poor math skills.
Lots of guys put Mono on to keep the Braid from slipping as for me, I use Double Sided Tape. Here’s what I do
1. Clean spool of all old line 2. Wipe spool clean with Alcohol or Finger Nail Polish remover 3. Let spool dry 4. Install Double-sided Tape the full width of the spool 5. Tie a good slip-knot and pull it down real tight with the knot at the top and Reel Take-up all the way to the Left 6. Load up your Reel With Braid (using a damp rag holding the Braid semi-firm) Reel away!
I’ve never had a problem with Baitcast or Spinning Reels regarding “SLIPPAGE”. Fish-on.........
Best Catfish bait (Blues,Channel,Flathead). Chicken Gizzards. EVER! If you have a hard time keeping them on a hook, use some of your spouses/girlfriends old nylons.
Cleaning Lures: I’ve always used WD-40, and it doesn’t repel fish. I’ve actually read an article where it attract them(believe it was in Bass Magazine 2012).
