Can I be fined for fishing without my license even though I do have one just not on me ?

In most states you are required to have it on you at all times while fishing. That being said if the warden is feeling generous and you don’t try and lie to him if you can produce proof within 24-48 hours they will throw out the ticket

Take a picture of it. Never been hassled when I've got a picture even if I don't have my card.

Check and see if your state has an app. In Florida, FWC has an app that you can pull up your license on when necessary.

Short answer- yes. Kind of like a speeding ticket. You could get off with a warning depending on the warden.
NY has a app you can pull all your licenses up to show the DEC man

Yes.
Easiest I found is to get your license through DNR on your phone and it is always on your if you need it. Missouri does not require license once your reach 65. 😁
Just a suggestion. Purchase your license on line. Wen you print, also save a PDF copy to your computer. Print a few copies and keep one in your vehicle, boat, tackle box, etc.. You'll never not have it!

There’s an app here in New York that allows you to put your license info on your phone, that way you can leave the license in the car, of course you have to carry your phone.
Like I said. Read YOUR regs YOUR state has them on the internet. YOUR state regs are not like other peoples. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW YOUR STATES LAWS!!!

I just know about Wisconsin. Here all you need is your driver's license. Except for Great Lakes trout. There you must show license and stamp.

Really? I lived WI for over 50 years. We always had a license. Only got checked once by a warden. Did they change that in the last 10 years? I live in TN now.
