I 1958 or so I was making $1.25 a week working for a mechanic shop feeding their Rottweilers seven days a week and cleaning up the yard from all the dog doodie.. Then I started hanging around and became the shop go for and graduated to $5.00 a week but still had to take care of the dog.. I worked my way through high school and collage as a mechanic.. And in 1970 I purchased a brand new Plymouth GTX... Great old days....

I have been carrying a Gerber assisted opening pocket knife for about ten years and it's internal spring that assists with opening the knife broke. So I called Gerber and they sent a new replacement.. Great company to do business..

The drag setting of the reel should be set at about 1/3 to 1/2 of the line rating. Say your rod is rated for up to 14 lb.
The drag setting should be around 4 to 7 lbs. The rod should not break if the drag is adjusted to keep it under its maximum rating. Yes you could easily use up to 50 lb. line (mono or braid) if the drag of the reel is properly adjusted.
The drag setting of the reel should be set at abou... (show quote)

I don't peel the shrimp.. Uncleaned, scales and head on just salted down..

I have been using Shrimp to catch Porgies, Fluke, Blues, Weak, Black and Stripes.. But I get the shrimp for free.. I ask the fish monger in the supermarket for the shrimp that is old and he is going to discard.. Usually I would get bout 20 pound and I put them into used zip lock bags. About 10 in a bag after they have all been salted down with kosher salt.. When I go fishing I would take a bag or two along for bait.

Teach, it appears a few don't understand what you and i know. Might be the way we and they are holding and casting that causes that braid cut on the pointer finger.

Or is it possible that our collogues don't really fish to experience their fingers being cut from the braided line..
