Now this caption will get you thinking for sure.
Most of us here on the stage recall and respect what we were taught from our mom and dads and of our own experiences as well.
But have noticed a good bit of disrespect to what has been handed down to us when taking a walk or just as important being on the water.
Doesnβt seem like teaching by example is doing much these days.
Got any suggestions?
You're right that caption does Plum. When's the last time you heard of anyone getting a ticket for littering. Don't get me started about our _______ handing out money an making people lazier than they already are. Heck look at what's going on right now π³ people have no respect for them selfs let alone our planet. Sorry ya got me going there π€ͺ
True and very scary statement..
Gmon Plum. Sad but true. So many don't have a clue where their food comes from. No real idea about conservation. One day this earth will put up a big sign Going out of business due to illness π₯π₯

Whitey, i think self respect went down with the pants being worn well below the waist line.
The ball cap being worn backwards was worn that way on the farm not at the dinner table.
Then you have the ( F ) used as everyday part of conversation.
It's no wonder the planet is in trouble, respect starts at home.

Late 70s-early 80s.

Here is a little internet blurp on it. Actually plenty of good info on the commercial and who it was if you google it.
"Somewhere, an Indian is crying." In 1971, the Keep America Beautiful organization aired a famous TV commercial of a Native American shedding a Single Tear at the sight of litter being dropped on the road (in a follow-up ad, the Indian rides with a big smile through towns where people are cleaning up).

I remember, didn't say a word but spoke so loudly πͺ
I was born in 70,definitely don't remember it that early. Guess it was still being aired when I was old enough for it to register
Sad part is you couldn't even show that commercial today, somebody might be offended π

You're not alone Whitey. Some subjects really fire me up brother. If you don't earn it you don't get it.
