The best way i have found is take a cotton ball put some Dawn dish washing soap on it and keep rubbing it across the tick after a couple minutes he will be on the cotton ball. Works every time.

You don’t have to retire for military just serve your time and register with the VA . Yes there are different levels
In the Va. But it’s worth inquiring and filling out the forms . And finding out if you qualified

Welcome to the Stage Steve. Nutz has made some excellent suggestions for locating out of the way places. Unfortunately much of Connecticut's water access is now in private hands. There's some river and stream access in state parks or forests, but many require hiking in. Any state parks with ponds or lakes have good access, but are crowded on weekends, as are the public lakes. Weekdays are much more enjoyable. I fish out of my boat 95% of the time so I'm sorry I don't have too much bank fishing info for you.
Check out Mount Tom, Lake Waramaug, Black Rock, Mansfield Hollow, and Bigelow Hollow state parks for lake access. Good Luck, Tight Lines, and remember that we love pictures.

One thing about Bigelow Hollow state park in Union ct you need a state parking permit . Out of state is$10.00 per day. I was told last year by a state warden . Since it’s on the Mass boarder .

Hey Betts. Here’s another tip. Florida has a lot of tollways. Think about Purchasing a SunPass. Makes it so much easier then having to stop and get off the bike to pull your money out to pay the toll. Just my opinion

Sun pass not needed if you have EZ Pass , that’s good every where. Have fun .

After reading MoJoe's post I just wanted to share our packing strategy was purchasing plastic tubs at Walmart and Lowes ranging in price from $ 3.00 - $ 6.00. All had lids and used blue tape to write on them what was inside. Found bubble paper cheaper at Office Depot and Target. That ability to stack all same size boxes or tubs is a major plus.

Good idea he had with the fire fighters, other source might be boy/girl scouts needing badge requirements.

I believe for $2000.00 - &3000.00 you could ship the car . And for the remainders of the $13000.00 you could buy new furniture. You can pack a lot of clothing and personal stuff in the car.

Agree with the Pflueger for the reel, and love both of my Celilos, a 7'6" & a 9'6". However, my latest favorite ultralight rod is an 8' Berkeley "Lightening", $39.99, I believe it was. Great rod for sensitivity, as well as casts exceptionally well using 6lb NANOFIL on my Pflueger #20.

You can’t beat the Runcl Titan reel for 39.99 dollars, smooth 10 ball bearings salt water
Proof. They have 3 different sizes. Got one last summer for fishing in CT .Great reel.

I’m sorry to hear about your fall and state of health. Please take care and follow your doctors’ advice.
I prefer reading your other stories and hopefully not about your falling down.
Take care, Captain.

Robert, Another Tumble is a little too lite hearted I would say . The bones break easier
as you get older , I would call these tumbles as warning shots . To stop and pay
attention to your next move . Just Saying . I want too read more story’s or life lessons.
