Lol, that's classic!! Might use that one myself if the opportunity ever comes available! Tight lines!
Haven't had that issue with a beaver, but when I was in my teens, I was setting traps in a canal and a muskrat came after me, not sure if I caught him but caught many muskrats and a few mink in that canal.

Luckily I haven't been stuck badly with a hook, but have lightly stuck myself many times, antibiotic ointment and a bandaid usually takes care of the issue, like previously stated if it starts to look bad in anyway, go see a doctor. Tight lines! If you do decide to quit fishing, I'll take any of your gear. Lol
Great info from both Rapala and Bill Lowen. Tight lines!!
Welcome David, please post you location, it'll help out on info you might can use and also maybe you can help out others in your area! Tight lines!
Oh, forgot to ask, how do you like the Curado DC, thinking seriously about getting it or the SLX. Really would like the info!
I've was told by a guy that, Academy Sports H2O brand rods were made by Gloomis and were the best rod he'd ever used especially for the price. If and when I buy a new one that's the first I'm gonna check out! Tight lines!
Can't help you out on the fly fishing but as stated earlier, you most likely gonna need some type of watercraft for that area, which I don't know much about either. I have bass fished in Falls and Sharon Harris lakes from a boat, bass fishing both are great. Never been to Jordan Lake but it's great as well, from what I've heard. Tight lines!
What's your location and what species are you fishing for, I'm with what was stated earlier, fish the newly flooded waters! Also welcome to the forum. Tight lines!
Welcome Matt, Do you know Guy Eaker, he's from Cherryville also. He can probably give you some info, he used to fish the Bassmaster circuit, you probably already know that though. Really down to earth guy, met him several times years ago at seminars. I'm in Kinston, NC. Best of luck to you on your fishing adventure! Tight lines!
