Everyone is a "salesman" these days!
God shows us all how he works in our lives. Your story is just another example. God bless you and your new friend!
"Rangers Lead The Way" Hoorah! I know you wanted to lead the way, but like you said, it wasn't meant to be. God leads us in the right direction.
A blonde gal was fishing on the side of a river. After a short time she hears someone calling from the other side of the river. It was another blond gal shouting to her, "How do I get to the other side?" The first blonde gal thinks for a moment, then shouts back, "You are on the OTHER side!"
The aunt finally gets my uncle to the doctor after fighting with him about it after several months. They do a blood test and the doctor tells my aunt that the results show that he is either suffering from dementia or a rare STD that is incurable. My aunt is stunned and asks "how can we determine which it is?" The doctor says, "take him on a drive to the far west side of town and drop him off. If he makes it home, do not have sex with him!"
I hate skinning and cleaning those bigen's.
Nice catch! I love catching those big ones. I'm 60 and I caught my first 6lb bass when I was 14. I've never forgot that experience.
I think the region idea is a great one. This will narrow the focus of the area where we are located and fishing and allow those that fish those areas to share valuable information. Mainly to narrow the search for others in the areas where one would fish. Thanks and I really enjoy this site.
What's the minimum length. They look awfully small in the picture.
I've caught fish on nothing but a lead head and hook. I was wade fishing catching speckled trout with plastic touts. Had 4 extra in my cap as the specks teeth will tear up the plastic after about 2 catches, then need new tout. I ran out of extra touts after the 5'th catch and my buddies were still catching in the area, so I just cast the lead head out where the trout were feeding and caught 2 more. The other guys were shouting to me "what color. what color?" I replied, "no color, just hook!"
You may check the internet for information. Also it may be worth the money if there are guides there that you can book a trip with. I've found that the first time fishing on a lake, the guides will show you around and divulge a lot of information for your future fishing trips on the lake. Good luck.
Just all wrong on his part. You have to make it known to these type of people by becoming verbal. You must tell them that they are in your space. No need to be "yelling" at them, just enough to make it clear that you are not allowing them to encroach on your fishing space. You could also add that out of respect, you intentionally steered clear of his space when you arrived. He knows what he was doing and he was actually waiting for you to say something. Sorry this happened to you.
Welcome Bog Dog. Sounds like will have lot's of experience to share here with the group. Looking forward to seeing your posts.
Beautiful lake and very nice fish. We catch a lot of cats on trot lines and jugs here in Texas. Always a treat to return to the lines after baiting them in the morning and returning late afternoon to see what we got.
