All the charters are good ,but you have to go a long way out . The best thing to do is show up when the boats come in ,and talk to the capt. and find one you like and will fill your needs ,one person may like a Capt. and you may not. Always talk to the crew before you book a charter. Its a lot of money to spend on someone you don't enjoy being with.
Any of Fl. fishing products reels are great ,have the best drag system .Better than all the other name brands I have used. Lots of guides are changing from other brands to them .
The best thing to do when you get there is check with the locals ,that lake is great but there is a lot of private prop. around it . You might try a guide ,might be a cheap as renting a boat ,and you will catch fish.Lake Chutuge is close and a lot more places to fish from shore . Google both of them and guides and boat rental in the area. Good luck ,you will have fun ,fish or not !
No !!! Stay in your boat ,you should be ok .Dont leave fish stringer in the water ,most gators will stay away from you.Use a net to get your fish out of the water .I have fished Fl. for over 50yrs. and never have had a gator come after me ,but one tried to get my dog that was swimming.
Go with a Fl. fishing products reel ,they are great . and you cant beat an Ugly Stick ,the size for what you are fishing for .And you can get a free one if you break it !
