Not a fan of spider wire, can’t go wrong with Power Pro, Berkley X9, Suffix 832

I use a lot of yum dingers and had good luck with them. They are the least expensive of the 2.

I have both reels and feel the Pflueger is more durable. I’d consider the Diawa Regal LT. It also runs 59$ at Bass pro. I like it better than the other two.

I think a spinning rig works best, and many to choose from.. I would go with a Medium Rod and an extra fast tip. 6’6” to a 6’10”

St. Croix triumph or Bass X . You will never regret a St. Croix plus 5 yr. warranty.

After falling in love with ned rigs on a recent fishing trip I’ve been trying to get a little deeper into it and want to branch out to different colors. I did great with the classic green pumpkin but I was wondering what colors you guys like to use and what conditions you fish each color in.

My favorite is PBJ - Zman and also like black with blue flake.

I own all 3 sizes and I would use the 35 or 40 on a medium heavy rod.

I like the GT knot. It is easier then the double uni knot and is just as strong.

I agree with the Pfueger reel in that price range, I have 3 of them all different sizes and no problems. The Sedona reel I have works ok but has paint peeling off and just a year old.

I have done a fair bit of practice with reel thinking I had the adjustments right and every time out on the water I end up with a bad backlash. Also have tried all 3 types of line.
I have put new Tatula SV on and casted it out in drive way ( everything is froze up here.) and it seems to be working with out back lash even without using my thumb. I was casting a 1/2 ounce weight I do have great hopes for it. Last summer was my first experience with Bass Fishing, always went north to Walleye fish with family. I’m definitely hooked on Bass fishing now. Thanks for any advise.
