Those are beautiful! Congrats! Hardwater seaso started here in the thumb too lasted 3 days now its gone. Awaiting its return wit anticipation.
RJS is right.
The menu doesn't change just gets smaller and slower. I use small finesse baits and try to make them look as natural as possible. 👍
I'm with Spiritof you can't really beat worms with food . You might try something greasy and garlicky though. I pull my worms out of the dirt and put them in a container with wet T- shirt rags to make them less messy. Foods that fish eat is usually just as gross as worms. Good luck out there.
Bobby Garland crappie baits/ The original baby shad
I like glacier color. They won't disappoint.

Love it!
That's the way to bond with the young ones!👍👍
Matt I bleed practically all fish that I will be taking home . It does usually make a big difference in quality. Never bleed my perch but what RJS said is correct on how to do it. Let us know . Ok.
Love the stinger hook illustration. Stinger hooks are a must some days . Especially when those walleye are trying to grab from behind. 👍 That an easy tie thanks.
On the west side of lk Michigan red baits and flashers are the main color tied on any time of the day.
The 20 pound braid will work fine on that application. Remember you are going to set the drag for ; leader wt , rod strength, hook strength, etc. anyway.
I love the circle hook for most live bait applications . They dont tend to hook up until they turn the corner coming out of the mouth for perfect lip hooksets.
