A while back I made a post about making stinger hooks.
A couple of stage members have PM me asking for details.
Stinger hooks are for catching short striking walleye. They often nip at the moving tail and these hooks nab them. I’ve seen days where majority of my fish are on the stinger
I use 12 pound flouro , size 10 trebles, a speed clip.(small) and a .031 crimp sleeve.
Photos show arrangement.
It’s good to keep them as straight as possible. You can attach hook with a crimp sleeve as well if your hook knot curls line.
If the speed clip can slip over hook barb hook a small piece of rubber band or a bit of soft plastic and slide it to hook bend. This will keep it from sliding off.
The speed clip can also attach to the space between the jig eye and the jig head. They stay put this way. Simply make the flouro lead an inch or so longer.
Do you put treble in bait or just loose.
Love the stinger hook illustration. Stinger hooks are a must some days . Especially when those walleye are trying to grab from behind. 👍 That an easy tie thanks.

Thanks for the tip, and the pictures. I will be trying this.

Great accessories, can buy them packaged at fishing stores here in Minnesota, where walleyes are trained at birth to”strike short”😁
