Lot of small mouth bass, cold water so not a lot of large mouth. Google small mouth fishing. Good luck
Lighter rod & reels, gone back to cork & worms / crickets(forgot how much fun), went bach to smaller aluminum boat 14', 9.9 hp, fishing farm ponds, Minkota Travora - foot control - easy on leg, lot less tackle, circle hooks-easier to remove fish, bigger hat, better sun glasses, pack a good lunch
West Point Lake, LaGrange
Nice boat & lady. Windcan be an asset under 10 to 12 mph. Blows plankton in coves & baut fish follow & fish follow them. Find a cove there will be less wind & more fish typically. Use the wind. Go to upper part of lake & let the wind take you with it. Use trolling motor to periodically correct. I live in Georgia and yes we have windy days. That is when I wind troll.
Fresh water good fly fishing. Bayou George & deer point lake. Wet to high school in PC, family still there. Lot if fresh water fishing
I use St Croix 7' light action fast tip for trout & if canopy is low I use light 4' ugly stick. Do not discount Ugly Stick.
Realaxing, fun, satisfying whether catch or not, Peace. Can smoke me a good cigar, enjoy the bump bump, beauty of God enjoyed. Yep
Picked up 2 Zebco 4' MED LITE 2 piece rods. Wow, they are not quality of my St Croix but good childs rod. Might even buy one for me. Great Christmas gift for grandkids.
I use the drop shot with a slip on clip, easy slide on / off. I like the pencil best, but round ones work. I find the pencil ones hang up less
Broke tip on my St Croix rod (7' light). Called customer service. They advised to cut rod with model & serial # (about 6") & mail it for replacement. Excellent customer service A+++. Loved the fast action & sensitively of the rod. Thanks St Croix for your customer service.
What is best catfish bait. I use hotdogs. Is there a way to toughen up the hot dogs
Been using Ugly Stick long time. Got St Croix that cost $$$ and the Ugly (new series) I think was $50 รท $60.i can not tell the difference. Also have a light weight Ugly. My favorite = the light has a little more back bone, but very light sensitive tip. The light is my go to for bream & CRAPPIE. OLD MAN FISHING
