Hit Red Cross launch today , lost a pig fairly early and these came once I found them all fairly close together. Wind blew me into a log and it caught my net and ripped a pretty big hole in it , but I stopped and sewed it together with some braid and a paperclip . Just in time for the ones I caught. The water temp was at 55° when I started by 2 pm it was 68° I take the temp about a foot deep. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Nice waiting till may 1 then im on tha water

Well first run of the new season, got a few and kept a couple. Broght 2 crappies, 1 perch ,and two cats for my guy in room 1 . Everything is working properly on the yac. Water temp was 48/49° already the north end is shallow most of it 4-5' deep and the water is stained so it warms up pretty fast. Today is the first day that the wind wasn't in the teens and a 4-5 mph wind was great. My Great niece and nephew were out yesterday with their Dad and Grandpa respectively for the Mentor day. Stephen 10 yrs old caught 12 in a little over an hour his biggest of the day was a dandy 24" rainbow trout and now I know it runs in the family ( he wanted to put it back in so someone else could catch it). What a great young man. His Sister Rachel caught 7 in an hour fishing with her Dad in a different spot . I'll post those pics after I ask permission of their parents.
Sorry about the bucket photo but I was very busy once getting home.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

The boys and buddy Nick headed down to the Raritan river for stripers yesterday and did pretty well. Threw 9” paddle tails and landed 17 between the three of them. Some over the 31” slot and a few under the 28” length but they were each able to keep one within. Pretty windy day but they had a good time. Son Gregg has Go Pro videos but I’m unable to post them with my computer illiteracy.

That is a really nice pic nice background nice fish

These are a few we caught in the last few weeks. Mostly my son's and friends that we take with. I have as much fun if not more seeing them bring in a catch! Gets my heart pumping. The trout was caught at bald eagle dam. First time we ever caught a trout on the dam. I didn't know they were even in there.

Very nice

Headed out today in search of some crappies but none to be found. The rockets however provided some entertainment, caught about 20 or so. I know that many detest them but with their elongated bodies and their head shakes they’re quite a bit of fun on light tackle especially when they’re the only game in town.

Headed down with the boys(Gregg and Ben) to the Raritan River) to chase the stripers. Launched out out Sayersville with intentions of hitting the bay if we didn’t mark any fish. Fish were abundant in the river so no reason to head out to sea. Water temp was 50* and most of the fish were hanging near the bottom. Threw 6” paddle tail Shad’s in bunker pattern and landed 5. Many bass were simply pecking the tails and wouldn’t commit, same comments from a bunch of others we spoke to. A few more degrees and it should heat up. Felt bad for captain Ben, he hooked up with a couple but lost them.

Nice…now I know there were a few different types out there. I had the honest-dishonest ruler knife with a bottle opener; my father bought it many years ago. Gave it to my son and it’s in his car. Didn’t have a pic of them so I searched the web and found some, to my surprise they can still be bought for $12.99

Thats tha one i have

Here’s the photo, don’t understand why it didn’t show up. I’ve been having a bit of trouble lately, possibly due to the age of my iPad.

Oh my God I have one sort of like that but the sheath and handle is a ruler

Kind of a dreary day with rain and fog throughout. Went with the intention of catching some crappies but it was not to be had. Had quite a bit of fun with the snot rockets that were willing participants along with a few gills on 2.5” Keitechs.

Very nice
