Hello Fellow Missourian.
With plenty of experimentation this year I find the solunar helpful. I use a lunar watch and the application pictured. I don’t pay. Use a watch and the free version, just the table information. I fish whenever I want, but use the application as an excuse for poor performance. If I do well against the the application’s pessimistic predictions I enjoy the next beer with gusto. Good Luck and Tight Lines!!
Application recommended by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Bass should jumping in the boat about now.
This was a bonus bass when the tide was against me and the beer was specially tasty.

Medicare premiums will rise and continue to rise
So will college tuition.
What do you think the price of electricity will do when this electric car mandate is realized?
It’s a mad, mad, mad, world I’ll be leaving behind.
Any examples of Government actually lowering costs in any sustainable way?
Okay if I use that?
Promise I’ll wear a bike helmet.

Good job Steve. I figured as much since it didn't overheat when you were fishing. If I let mine sit for longer than a couple weeks I get little spider cocoons in the outlet fitting. Usually they blow out but sometimes they need help.
I carry a toothbrush on board to clean the intakes before shoving off.
Welcome fellow Missourian!! Fortunately, you are getting some good advice already. I live well away from you, but you have a great lake to fish. I catch a lot by casting parallel to the bank, not straight out. Top water along the bank under shade trees will get good bass action if you have a couple feet of water. Whopper poppers, hollow body frogs, and rapalas. You may have to give up crappie for bass, but I have had crappie action on small spinners.
Welcome fellow Missourian!
Looking forward to how you do in that corner of the state. I hear a lot of good chatter about central and southwest. I have visited those areas, but east and southeast is my territory. Looking forward to updates and pictures.

It's nice to see the resurgence of some of the classics. If they worked back in the day, they'll work now. You don't need the latest, greatest, $25 Megabass stickbaits, when a classic Rapala or Rebel will work as well.
Topwater classics like Hulu Poppers and Jitterbugs still produce when used in the right conditions.
Fishing vintage, right on and saving $$.

Glad to hear that you're having success. That brings back memories. A chrome/black back Rebel was my go-to for many years when I was young. I still have some with half the chrome worn off. I should throw some next time I get out. Thanks for the reminder. Keep at it brother, they'll get more playful as the water cools down.
Picked that one up at a pawn shop for $3. Hard to find wood ones and new is about $12. Another facet of fishing. Finding good old lures.

Thanks Jwid. How's the fishing on your lake, picking up at all?
Not setting records, not getting skunked either. Has been good for a 1.5 to 2 pound Lmb most of the time. I have to work a variety of baits to get to them. Top water chugging a 6 inch silver Rapala has been the latest success story. Quick picture, lesson learned, released, that bass won’t be hitting a floating Rapala for awhile.
I like fishing in a little fog. Good day for you.

I have been there. Thank you. I was kinda looking for other places that didn’t get that much pressure
I understand. Unfortunately the St. Louis metro, St. Charles area is densely populated. You might try the OxHunt application. Look for farm ponds. The application tells you who owns it. Free for a week. Then try contacting owners for permission. I am on a private 60 acre lake to get away from pressure. Haven’t seen 5 boats at once in 6 years. I know what you dream of.
