Damn Danger, hope it’s nothing serious. Good thing you’ve got Sea Tow.

Sea tow membership is the best money i ever spent.
Sounds like an ignition problem Danger and hopefully nothing too pricey. Hope they get it figured out soon

My heart skipped a beat on that notice Danger. I reminiscence your pain, not nearly your 15 miles but that long slow ride back is never a venture anyone wants to take.
Hope it's an easy fix.

Ditto cursing, mine was just over a mile in a 14' fiberglass with a dead 25hp merc hanging on the back and just one paddle.
No Sea Tow when the phone was at the house.

So sorry to hear that Danger. Hopefully it's something simple like the switch box, and you're back on the water soon.

Oh no. Sorry to hear, what a drag. You get your gas from the same guy all the time so couldn't be that. How long do they project before getting to it? Hopefully not too long. Bummer!!!

Its dead. I cant afford a new motor….not to mention it would cost more to fix than i paid for the boat. This is unbelievable.

OH NO, that sounds like a bad time. Sounds like your issue shouldn't be to bad if it was running then just sputtered to a stop. Good luck I just got mine out of the shop,,, three weeks just for yearly maintenance.

OUCH is not a strong enough word Danger. I wish i had the answer and the $$$$$ to help you out.
I know nothing of used motors that big if purchasing one would be worth it. Maybe Craigs list or ebay might have a motor someone is wanting to get rid off because they want to up grade.

Wow that's terrible Danger. Look around online. I see lots of places selling rebuilt powerheads for a lot less than a complete motor. It sounds like blown head gaskets, or a cracked block. Tearing it down is the only way to find out for sure. What year and Horsepower is your Yami?

Mechanic says used motors are scarce because of the cost of new ones….
