Getting off the highway I see fog in the valley. Yep, fog at the lake too. 59°and damp at the ramp, 78.5°water temp. Ran up to the dam and started where I fished last time. VERY SLOW start. Skunkbuster was a dink SM. Worked the 4spots from last trip and caught a 2lb Smallie, and then a 1lb+ Smallie. I thought things were looking up, but they started releasing more water and the bite died. I went south to the Tornado trees, ate my sandwich, and caught another 1.25lb. Smalljaw. By then it was getting crowded with waterskiers, and getting hot, even the water was up to 84°, so I hit the last stretch by the ramp and called it a day. 4 mostly small Smallmouth, was it for the day.
Fog at the exit
Fog at the ramp
And fog on the lake.
Skunkbuster dink.
Big of the day, 2lb even
1 pounder
Last of the day 1.25 pounder

Four bass isn’t too bad for a morning trip Fred, kinda like “smoke on the water”. Good song too.

Thanks Brad, yeah it was slower than I expected. Once I got up 3/4 of the way to the dam it cleared right out. Love that song. My neighborhood Garage Band used to play it, when I was in High School.
Looks like a decent day and no skunk Fred. That fog looks like it did here yesterday. I took the fuel pump off and the diaphragm is split so I got on line and ordered 2. They are getting hard to get so I figured for 9 bucks and shipping I might as well have a spare

Thanks Terry. It was only in the river valley. The water is warmer than the air.
Sounds like a good idea Terry. The way they're heading, they want to put more corn liquor into the gas. Glad you were able to find them online.
