You need a new job! Get paid to fish.
Guides can make good money, and deduct lots of great equipment.

You can fish for species that have a bounty on them. In the Columbia & Snake river basin,
Some one earned $61,000 American, just for fishing up to 5 months in 2021.

You can do anything if you set your mind to it. WORK is a four letter word; Fishing is not.

When I have the time off i'd rather do this!

Out here shoe peg corn just kills kokanee. Sometime works on trout.
Pink salad shrimp has caught a few salmon. Some people like to wrap a sardine
onto a quick fish and they do catch salmon.

I find that fishing with a lawyer solves alot of theses questions. Only it is hard to find a lawyer that I want to spend all day with.

I usually fish for the Kokanee. Along the south shore in the really deep seems to be where Mackinaw fishers hang out.

I have used several knots over the years. My favorite is the "Uni knot".
Great for tying on gear and make a "double uni" to splice two lines. I believe this also called the "Duncan knot"

I have fished both. I agree spinning with a bobber allows to reach out farther in larger lakes and streams.
I learned fly fishing for salmon in Alaska coastal streams. Fly fishing allows you to repeat casts in areas with brush trees and brambles and not hang up ...as much. Spin casting is much more difficult to duplicate a cast over and over, therefore more time tying on new gear and less catching.
