When and where can you fish the Salmon River between Grand Ronde and Lincoln City? Is it open for Steelhead fishing?

There is a hatchery near Otis, I know there is a fall Chinook run, not sure if there is a spring run or steelhead run. Check with the hatchery. There are very few holes to fish around the hatchery, the river is shallow and I've heard it is combat fishing.

Near, Hebo is the Nestucca and Three Rivers which do have a spring run of Chinook and winter and summer steelhead. Not much bank access a little at the park in Hebo and you can fish in Pacific City.

I can tell you, that River has some pretty strange regulations concerning the salmon. The Coho in particular. You got to look at them real close. 
Dunno what's up with the steelhead these days.
But I will tell you this. That fall Chinook run can be killer if you hit it right.
