Also if you do eat fish eat panfish. the Predators have more mercury and posions in the from eating the other fish it builds up. Also eat smaller fish. just the warnings we get around here.pp

wow πŸ‘ you know how to hurt yourself good. sorry for your misfortune. My wife heard this somewhere and I never forget it...75% of the people you come in contact with day to day are below average intelligence wise🀑. Another joke she has is what do you call a doctor that got mostly C's in medical school??........Doctor🀣.
Heal up and go slowly. Just sounds like bad luck and gremlins got you.🎣🐟🚫πŸ₯πŸš«β›”β™‹ tight lines and pack bandaids.

I had my worst eye done on the 6th and my other eye on July 27th. I was amazed at what I was missing. the colors were so vivid. They are correcting my Astigmatism in both eyes. so I only have to wear readers for 3' or closer. im wondering how its gonna be tying lures on. with cheaters on....At least now I can see my bobber not doing anything! amazing the stuff they can fix. if I would have paid more out of pocket could of had adjustable ones and no readers. it's relatively new but crazy stuff! best of luck to your wife! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ³πŸŽ£πŸŽ£πŸŽ£

Guy has a bunch of tackle but didn't notice a wife around anywhere !

I was thinking the same thing. I can't get away with one pole in the living areas. the police at our house would give me an ear full. My second thought was how many hooks have gotten in a paw or tail on his yellow lab. ouchie. $10,000 for a crankbait....wow. I love lures too but all of mine "fish" . I have a handful of special one's but Damn! What a collection and passion!

Looking good! Great Job Papa Jack! I'd fish with those or put them in a shadow box. Either way fine job.

using the outboard on the boat to push the boat up onto the trailer. instead of cranking it on. it makes a hole from prop wash and then at the end of the hole is a very shallow spot. A place to ground your skeg on the bottom of ur lower unit. no bueno.

would troll a deep diving crank bait (flicker minnow or jerkbait from rapala) or a lindy rig with a leech or nightcrawler. if you get a bite stop and see what your depthfinder is showing or not. then try a jig head with a minnow or some live bait and a bobber. if you don't want to troll you could always drift with the wind...keep an eye on your depth finder...if you have one.. or to save time before you go look at a map of the lake and look for structure like steep drop-offs, points, old river channels, fallen timber, creek or river mouths, rocks and old fisherman or a boat that sits in one spot after a couple hours and then goes home high fives and smiles on the occupants... I try to stay away from crowds and boats and just fish the water. unless there is enough space for me to do my fishing (70 yds.) not close enough to snag someone's anchor rope like some fools did on opener to me several years ago. on the biggest lake in the state at night and these three fools come sit up-wind from us and cast out. well of course their lines are gonna drift back to us. I bring up my anchor line to move away because these people are getting drunk and loud. I catch a hook in my hand from the rope through my neoprene gloves. I got a free lighted bobber out of the deal though. Give other boats a wide area to do their thing. Even better fish elsewhere ,you could find a better honey hole, don't follow people or other boats unless they tell you to or you don't like them.

That sounds good. I have some rod socks they are the long ones. I put those on my ultra lite and shorter poles. I think I will get a couple of tubes and caps and paint them up. I will also be getting some rubber bands. I like that idea too. holding the line is a bonus. Thank you. I will see what I can mount in the truck. Thanks again

I was just wonder if anyone has a decent way of hauling long fishing poles in the back of a short bed (5'5") pick up with a topper. The topper is a fiberglass jobby that I do use in the winter for protecting portable fish house etc. So I don't really want to screw into it. I have a few rods that are 6-8' crappie poles. they are two piece but that becomes a tangled mess with 4 poles. I like to have extra rigged in case I break line or get broken or tangled. I was thinking a commercial rod holder mounted on some 2"Γ— 2" β–‘ frame?? Any ideas or pictures. I am very handy and have woodworking tools but weld zero. It would help if I could use it for 2'-3' ice fishing poles in the winter.
I also don't want to leave the windows open because last time I did that I had A LOT of road dust on everything. mud. Thanks in advance... tight lines everyone from Minn. p Be nice. my first post. β™‘β—‡

Just wanted to tell you what we did when our black lab was in the boat with us. bring a bigger jug of tap water for the dog. try to keep it cool and a dish to put it in. ice cubes too if you can. our dog lived the cool water. sometimes it gets really hot in the boat, no shade. we also would make a "tent" with a really light density body wrap or towel and lay it across two seats and let her lay on a boat cushion or two. if it got about 80 or above she would stay home. Dark colored dogs no matter the size get hot. she was allowed to get wet prior to our trip sometimes too. She loved the water. adopted her at 2.5 years old. her first time out with me, we were motoring out to the fishing spot. she saw some ducks or geese and jumped out if the dang boat. so I had to stop and circle back to get her. well I realize she's wet and slippery and 90+ lbs. so I had to grab her collar and some skin above her back legs and lift. point is if your dog does go for a swim intended or otherwise think about how you're gonna get them out. they have swim up pads for dogs for bigger boats and Duck dogs. or a life jacket with a "suit-case" style handle on it. those are nice. or keep a leash on the pup. loop the leash under the back legs and tummy area and connected to the collar. that last one is worst case. you could damage the neck if done too hard or just in general. beats drowning.....or stay close to shore and if it jumps in follow/ coach it in to shore. keep treats in a zip lock bag. use praise as she looks and smells but doesn't act. I would stand on the leash or at least put it under foot if she stood up. once she got her "smelling" out of the way she would just lay down and relax. she was a great dog for the last 12 years we had her. calmed down a lot after she knew what we wanted and was very smart. miss her. had to put her down 2 years ago. About 3 months before our son was born...she loved kids too. F$^_ Cancer!
