Went out Friday evening on the Rocky River and trolled. Didn’t catch a thing but every one had a good time! Considered heading into the lake but the kids where nervous so we stayed in the river. Saw a mother duck and ducklings. Not sure the type but I could have told you before the kids. I wish every launch had this sign and everyone obeyed! (Pipe dream I know!!)

Probably be nice if it mentioned the drain plug as well because we all know that can be an issue!😂😂

So your familiar with boat that doubles as a bath tub or those that fill the boat with water rather than hosing it out AFTER fishing?

I find its usually the "Pleasure boaters "who tie up the ramp. Loading the boat when they're at the water, or not being able to back a trailer in. Some days it seems like it takes forever.

Glad you had some fun on the boat.
You are correct about the sign, but any more than 2 words and people won’t read them.
Looks like a hen wood duck to me.

That is what I was thinking. But I am not sure, as that is such a common practice in many locations. There are even commercial auto bow locking products to assist in driving onto a trailer.

using the outboard on the boat to push the boat up onto the trailer. instead of cranking it on. it makes a hole from prop wash and then at the end of the hole is a very shallow spot. A place to ground your skeg on the bottom of ur lower unit. no bueno.

So, does this just apply to dirt ramps, or is it a problem on concrete as well do to the repeat water blast on the same spot thousands of times over the years?
