I had on of my best days in about 2 months.
Don't get me wrong, given my limited schedule and medical issues I spent some time in the shallows, in the stinken wind and man did the bass bite like they haven't ate in awhile.
Caught 17 in a little over 3 hours, not bad for NB Susquehanna.
They were 12" to 22", a lot were 17" and 19".
What a fun day, I was never much for fishen in the wind but wind out of South, bait in their mouth.

Gunner , Depending on where in Pa. you live you could try for them in Penns Creek, Middle Creek etc. Takes two people one to hold minnow sein and one to turn and disturb rocks and gravel several feet above sein. once area is kicked lift net and check for a catch. Will also get crayfish and hellgrammites also. You can also catch in shallow riffs in rivers. ( Susquehanna). When I was growing up 50s-60s they were the it bait for smallmouths.
If you find a hot spot and get to many give a yell.

Great looking pup. When I was growing up in Washingtonville, Pa. every hunter in town had a setter or two, but that was many years ago and we were surrounded by half a million ringnecks. Now few birds and fewer setters. Those were the days.

Thermos! Tip ups are used with live bait. set up allows fish to run when it takes bait. Live minnows.
