What’d I catch? It’s pretty and it made croaking noises. I caught two of these today, both about a foot long…one on a senko and the other on a Berkeley power worm, weightless TR.

We have something similar we call a fall fish. Or common shiner.

I agree, looks like a carp to me too. But I suppose it could be a BIG shinner.

I agree with Mike. Here's pic of a fallfish. They're a native species of the northeastern part of the US. We get them down here in VA as well.

Thanks, guys. Read up on fallfish and that looks to be it! I’ve been fishing in that spot for 30+ years and that’s the first time I’ve ever seen one (or two). I knew you all would be able to identify it. Much appreciated. 🙂

That was my first guess, too, F4F…but I think they’re usually smaller. These were around 12-13” long.🤷‍♀️
