Sad, but a well written and delivered as ‘the day in the life’ of ardent fisher persons and being prepared for disappointment.

If in a boat and in water with a current get above the snag so that your line appears to be downstream. If not successful try circling the entry point of the line. If on shore, use the same method attempting to get above the snag walking the shoreline.

I plan on getting into carp fishing. In my area the water has been poisoned and we can't eat the fish. I'm near Detroit Michigan, as far as I know carp are invasive, so you guys return them for kill them. If you kill them what do you do with the bodies?

Yes there’s a Y bone remove it and you have some nice fillets to eat just as good as any walleye.

Sorry, can't be compared to Walleye for eating. If unfamiliar with the proper cleaning and preparation of the pike, it is like eating a pin cushion. Catch and return most of the pike I catch.

Not so sure a unit w/o sides would get the protection you wish from hail damage. 25' should be adequate, it is for my 17'7" boat and motor.
