I live in Fairport New York 14450, Any Anglers know of some fishing spots near me? I'm getting tired of fishing the Erie "Barge" canal. Any and all comments are welcome. I'm 65, retired and bored out of my mind.
You're all appreciated, GREAT at posting and I LOVE the FORUM!

Hi Brian, I lived in Binghamton for YEARS and we fished a lot of water in NY. I see your grown near Rochester...

You have the north end of several of the Finger Lakes within an hour drive. We used to fish Cayuga's north & Cazanovia, and it would take 1.5hrs to get there.

There is Oneida, north of Syracuse also...

I live in CT now, and I don't miss those long drives. If I drove 1.5hrs from my location, I would be in another state... Good luck, enjoy retirement.

Hi Brian, Canandaigua gal here. There are some nice ponds near Fairport. Look up High Acres preserve, Mason Valley and King’s Bend. Powder Mills Park has some decent trout fishing. There’s a nice little pond at the Victor Municipal Park, I can see the bass but haven’t had any luck catching them. Might be better to go there early in the season before it gets pressured. I found the first three spots by looking at google maps on satellite view - sometimes they don’t show up on the default setting. Good luck and keep us posted!
