It depends on how much quality time of fishing you want to do. Florida offers fresh and salt there's always a good bite anytime of the year.
I was a Hoosier, Dearborn county (Dillsboro In)
I moved to Florida 13 years ago. Welcome to the site
Lews stands behind their products, I own 3 Lews speed sticks I love them. I fish for Reds, Snook, trout (spotted) caught some fish 15lbs or better with no problems. I love the drag system on these models
That's a beautiful Red, nice breeder. Congrats
Carvile Jacks not very tasty
I agree with Tanglefoot, King snake great to have around. That's what it looks like.
Caught some really nice Specks today.
One was 13 inches.
I soak them in buttermilk the lactate acid gets rid of most of the impurities
You can cut the "wings" of the stingrays off
and get a strong round cutter or punch and punch out round portions of the stringray , trim off the skin and fry them or do what you would do for scallops they taste just like them
Fishing yesterday in the Tomoka Basin saw 6 Tarpon chasing mullet. What a site, not very big
But big enough to put a hurtin on some gears on a spinning outfit
Crickets, minnows, mealworms, wax worms do best for both species
I am a fisherman, but I don't lie about my success. I had 2 others in the boat in to verify. That is your opinion and respected
