Left Wisconsin in 1965, am in my 80's and have caught everything but a tarpon. Biggest was a 10 1/2 foot Tiger Shark in 1967

Sounds like a lot of catching.
Must have missed you somewhere else.

Welcome to the Forum, Fnw. At 80, you still have a lot of fishing to do.
Fishing yesterday in the Tomoka Basin saw 6 Tarpon chasing mullet. What a site, not very big
But big enough to put a hurtin on some gears on a spinning outfit
IN 65 this site wasn't even thought of. So when you do get that Tarpon show us with a picture how you did it all. Welcome to the site FishNwish
Welcome Fish 'N' Wish !
Haven't tried it yet either, but it's definitely on my 'bucket list' ! From what I've heard from the locals when I was there back in '82/'83,
some of the best areas for both quantity and quality include the following: Tarpon Springs, Tampa Bay, Boca Grande, Key West and Islamorada ! Good luck !
Here's a pic of the shark and a lot younger me.
Looks like an old polaroid photo. Nice catch no matter when it was caught.
June 69 just graduated high school and headed to the Air Force. That was just yesterday, in thought anyway.

Fish does not look aged at all.
Are you sure you have?

Nice Fish, Ugly Hat!!! Is your right arm sore from cranking in the shark? I had 2 kids by 1969.
Miss the cold???

Welcome FNW. Tarpon fishing is fun. Catch at least two.
