Let us not forget Mr Twister!
My only crappie lure I have using over 35 years
Geez
I gotta wait 3 1/2 months yet!
At least there’s fish there
I have a camera too and love watching
There’s times you can see the fish actually mouth the bait and not even take it
You can’t get that from a flasher
My last time out I had perch at the camera all day with same results as you
Obviously the fish are not always hungry
Next time out might be another story
That’s fishing I guess
A few years ago I caught two (twins) both were 17-3/4” length
I thought I was close to a record (Wisconsin)
Turns out I was not even close
I missed by over 5”!
But that’s a nice one for sure
I like a 6ft medium with a fast action tip
And 6lb fluorocarbon line for my vertical jig technique 1/4 -3/8 oz jigs
(I use a StCroix Legend Series)
Use swivels for spinners only
If not your line will twist
For any thing else and for finesse fishing
I would not use them. You will lose all of your sensitivity
Hey Spirit
I thought you were a StCroix fan
For panfish
A worm on a single hook with a split shot and a slip bobber
My personal best for a largemouth probably should not count
I was crappie fishing with a bobber and minnow on 4lb test
Caught a 23” 6lb 7oz bass that is still on my wall
I’ll usually catch a dozen or so throughout the spring that way (Wisconsin Cloverleaf Lakes)
Wisconsin here
I’ve fished Arborvitae many times (some success)
But if you get bored with Arborvitae or have little luck, entertain the idea of the Eagle Chain.
Much more structure and opportunities especially if you need to get sheltered from windy or bad weather.
Good luck out there this summer!
I also have a few Fenwicks too
Also a good rod
I prefer the high end St Croix because they are made in my backyard here in Wisconsin
Medium weight with fast tip action
I like the Legend over the Avid Series because of their composition they are a little more sensitive but a little more money
I use for Walleyes 1/4 to 3/8 oz jigs with 6lb fluorocarbon
Go Get em!
I wonder what his thoughts are on FISH FARMS. Yikes
