Alright folks, I’m about to go on a big shopping spree for lures, and wanted to see what you guys swear by and maybe try out some new lures. I fish freshwater, Bass, Northern, crappie, and ‘gills. Tight lines!

Crappie magnets work really well for me for sunfish, crappie, bass & perch in southeastern PA. But I always start out a session with a 5" senko.

I have 3 ginormous tackle bags full of lures, but I primarily use yellow and white grubs, Mepps Aglia spinners, and Rapala Floating or Countdown minnows. Occasionally I'll also use silver fleck tubes or silver Senkos. I mostly fish freshener streams for smallmouth.

Crappie magnets and trout magnets are killer for panfish. I tore up the warmouth, bluegill, and green sunfish at the river this past year just using those. Easiest lure to rig and use. Its pretty great. Probably caught the most fish last year on these, a few trout too.

Fishing for smallmouth was next. And honestly keeping it simple just some black or white curly tailed 2-3 inch grubs did me the best. Did decent on a rapala popper as well, but the curly tails were just great.

If you're going on a shopping spree, buy some well-reviewed books on fishing!

If you know their behavior, their habits, preferences, and needs... you can get it done with a tube... or a grub. If you want to go crazy get three colors: white, green pumpkin, and black or junebug. :)

A small jig ,Bitsy Bug, with a 3" burley menace trailer will catch fish all year lone. you can fish a jig on the bottom for fish feeding down. Swim the jig for fish feeding up, mainly a bass lure but I've caught a lot of different type fish in this lure.

Rebel Crawfish, they make different sizes. The smaller ones are good for trout and panfish. The bigger ones are good for bass. Texas rigged worms, black and silver is my go to color. Jitterbug, preferably in black.
