Thank you BB, and all of the other veterans for your service to our country. My dad, and most of my dads brothers served during WWII, a couple uncles during Korean War. I never served, my brother served in Vietnam, when I was graduating from high school, I talked to him about joining and he flatly told me, he would kick my rear end all over Lenoir County, if I did, because of the way Nam vets were being treated so I didn't but regretted it ever since. You all are my heroes!!
Yep, couldn't mention them all, my thumb would've got tired.
Me, too!! Got married, fresh out of high school, knew everything!! And still a DA, if you know what I mean!! But, at least still here and in pretty good health. Lol
Same here, love to read all of you guys and gals info and humor!!
You can put on enough to keep you warm during the winter, but can't take off enough clothes to make you cool during summer. I'm sure not many would find it fitting for you to be fishing in your birthday suit, even then still uncomfortable in the heat. Lol
Yep, love listening to guys talk about the old days and the wisdom of those guys. Wish I had taken more time, really paying attention back when I was younger and knew everything!
Alot of really good choices from you guys, but if I could, I'd have to start with my grandpa, daddy and brother. They're the ones who taught me and are now gone.
You're welcome, don't go as much as I used to, but being on here helps me when I'm setting at the house bored. Be glad to assist any way I can.
Great finds, I've wanted to get into it, but still rigging up my boat, can't afford it all at once. A good friend of mine does mostly civil war relic hunting and has had some nice finds. Tight lines and strong signals!
Wow!!! Lord willing, hope I can make it that long and still be able to fish and have a mind that works as well as you. Bless you Brother
Senko, texas rigged or wacky, texas rigged crawfish imitation, If you aren't sure of how, check out YouTube videos. Also don't get discouraged if you don't catch every bass that's on a bed, sometimes they are very temperamental and not as easy to catch as you've heard. Really depends on what stage they're in and mood, you sometimes have to aggravate them into biting, sometimes they won't touch your lure, sometimes they just blow your lure out of their bed, but sometimes they jump right on your bait and then you're happy!! Tight lines!
Want to save some of your dough, I was told (from reliable source) that Academy Sports H2O rods are made by Gloomis, I haven't purchased any yet myself but will soon. The guy said they were the best he's ever had, especially for the price!! Tight lines!!
Hello and welcome, ask your father- inlaw how he's going to fishing and what you need to work on, so you can be prepared when you go. If he is willing to take you then I'm sure he's willing to help get you prepared. Best of luck, hope you get hooked, it's a GREAT HOBBY
Looks like you had a good time, I jealous! Munch down on one of those for me!!
Don't get discouraged, young man!! Work on your casting skills, watch videos, read articles, anything that will keep improving yourself. But like someone mentioned, Education is most important! Tight lines when you're able to go! Praying you the best in all your life!!
