Hi, got my hands on a steez on black friday for less then 50% of the price. Feel like i am going all in on this combo so want some nice medium/medium heavy rods to pair it up with. Fish alot of Texas/Carolina and swimjigs and use fluorocarbon as a main line. Was thinking about rods around 250-450$ range, hit me with ides.

The adrena is crisper and more sensitive, while the Expride has a cork handle. Both have a Ci4 reel seat, there's more models/options in the Expride line up. If it was me, Poison Adrena hands down.

Do you have any experience with St.croix, Megabass or G.Loomis?

Other than handling the Megabass Levante and GLoomis E6X, no. I have fished a few St. Croix Premiers, they're nice, super stout.

I have two St.Croix rods, my favorite being the Legend Elite Spinning in Medium/Light which I use exclusively for drop shots and neds. I'll tell you, the sensitivity in this rod is incredible and have yet to find one akin. It's also v lightweight. They have a good warranty too.

I have one of the new Poison Adrena rods and it compares very favorably with the loomis GLX rods. I have the 611m+ with a Steez SVTW on it and they make a super light and balanced combo.

Want to save some of your dough, I was told (from reliable source) that Academy Sports H2O rods are made by Gloomis, I haven't purchased any yet myself but will soon. The guy said they were the best he's ever had, especially for the price!! Tight lines!!
