I coon hunted 4 to 6 nights a week until my wife got tired of it, and told me If I would quit coonhunting I could fish all I wanted to. SHE LIED!! Four and a half years later after never missing a day without fishing she was begging me to start back coonhunting. She didn't figure on that you could fish 24-7 wind, rain,
heat, or cold. Heck, I would still be at one or the other but for age related (miles) health problems.

From years of wading swamps, about 65 years many with waders I found that a Deet boot drier with the extensions or, for you long legged fellers two sets of extensions, was the best investment I ever made.

I've caught bass with both and an Owl with the jitterbug, I would avoid doing that if possible.

is that y'all kin to Y'all? Any way good afternoon. ALL

In this case I think that "All Y'all" would be proper. That is upper Florida for "All of you"
Notice I said "Upper" that;s 'cause "North" is the worst of cuss words. Grandma would say Lawd child you jess spit sumpin out I wouldn't hold in my hand.

Hello, Itz, Since you are fishing from a boat (my interpretation) I would, starting with new line, let my line out with nothing on it and drag it behind the boat to get all the twist out of it. wind it up tight on the spool, every bit of twist will be gone then. When you hang into a fish and it starts to pull line off your spool stop reeling, hold rod tip up, and only start to reel when you can get line back without the drag slipping. If you do this there will be no twisting of your line. When your ready to quit fishing, if you have time drag your line again. Either the morning or the night before you next go fishing put a swivel on your line and stretch it out real good to take the memory (curl) out of your line. If your spool is filled to the proper level this should help limit your bird nest. always keep your line tight on your spool.

Practice practice practice!!! Watch some How To videos. Cast in your yard or nearest park as often as possible, and never give up! 🏄🏼‍♂️🎣

only way, and I just found out this week that it's not like riding a bike. I haven't used one in several years and it has taken several days to just get back to basics, I bet I couldn't skip a bait under some bushes for another couple of weeks. When you get it don't take anything else with you. I cam't even remember why I went back to the spinning out fits but for me it was a mistake. Your post got me to pick one up the other day. I'm glad I did even though I'm not ready to take it fishing yet.
