The thing is is that I already have some spinners but I will go with you alls advice. Could you recommend a rod?
I’m looking for a new rod for saltwater redfish, trout, flounder and largemouth bass. I have a baitcaster picked out but I was wondering if I should go with a spinning combo? Please help me.
I am about to purchase a baitcaster. I thought about and I think I’ve never seen someone use Dead bait for them.
Recently I have been fishing at a canal and I have been catching trout, redfish, sheepshead, drum and flounder. As I filleted some of them I have pulled out small white lines which I believe to be some type of parasitic worm. Is it okay to eat these fish?
Sorry about not adding details. I’m going to use this rod in saltwater for trout, redfish, flounder, and other gamefish species. Also I will use this rod for bass.
Hello everyone,
I’ve recently picked out a bait caster reel. I picked out the cadence cb8 style reel. I’m new to bait casters and I don’t know what rod to match it. I’m looking for one in the $50-$80 dollar rod. I can go higher but preferably not. I would like it to be a quality rod. Also quickly, could you recommend what brand and size braid? Thanks!
I have already made a post similar to this but I feel I didn’t put as much info as I should’ve. I’m looking for a good, quality baitcaister reel and rod. This should be able to fish for redfish, speckled trout, flounder, bass, and other game fish. This should also have to work in saltwater and fresh. The combo should be around $150. Highest would be $200 or (this is really pushing it) $250. Thanks
Also if anyone is still here would you mind recommending a pole to go with it?
Hello everyone,
I’ve been fishing for about 2.5 years and enjoy saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing (including most species such as bass, catfish, trout, panfish and more), and fly fishing. As I’m sure you know it’s getting closer to the holidays and my mom wants to buy me a new reel. I decided that I want to try out a baitcaster. It should be able to work in saltwater and freshwater and should be in the $100 range. Please help and thanks for the advice!
Hello ,
I enjoy tying flies. Most of the flies I tie are for saltwater species, bass, and panfish. I live in the great city of New Orleans. I’ve recently started tying flies. I have a fly rod but, it’s a 6w 9foot trout rod so, I don’t do a lot of fishing with it. But for some reason I keep cranking out flies. I don’t know why but I enjoy. Is that strange?
P.s. I do lots of normal fishing for gamefish.
My Grandparents have a house on Panama City!
