Buddy Heaters are very safe. Propane does not give off CO2 when burned. It gives off water vapor. They are the only "flame" heaters rated safe for use inside a camper or motor home. BUT, the propane tank must be kept outside! I have a Big Buddy and it heats my 370 sq. ft. garage perfectly. It will raise the temperature from 40° F to 68° F in less than an hour and then maintain it on half power. No odors, either. I set the tank just outside the garage door.

Same experience, I concur. Good product, the "Big Buddy". Can even get an electric accessory that operates a fan within. And can run it off of 1or 2 "green camping gas bottles" ("Coleman" kind).

On a hurried trip back to Kansas a few years ago, I stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming for gas. On the other side of the pump was a Highway Patrolman.
We exchanged greetings, and I asked him if I could could ask him a question without intimidating myself, on a question of speed. He said "sure".
I informed him that while I was driving my Landrover Discovery at 85-90 miles an hour...TRYING to keep "with the flow of surrounding traffic", but that I was being PASSED BY 18 WHEELERS !! He was definitely non-plussed over hearing that. I then asked that since the posted speed was "80mph", at what speed would I have to be going to get stopped. He looked around the pump to see what I was driving, and said..."oh...probably 100-105...but you didn’t hear that from me, and I will deny having ever said that".
He chuckled and asked..."does that answer your question ?"
I then thanked him, paid for my gas and headed back out onto interstate 80, acutely aware that while I THOUGHT that I was being a "scofflaw", I was merely "going with the flow".
Obviously the "flow" is quite subjective to the whims of an officer....best to pay attention to those around you and be aware of the "hazard" you might actually create if you drive at 65-70mph amongst a large contingency of semis doing 85-95mph.
My most recent trip, this past June, merely confirmed my mantra of "just be aware of all the others around you". Gotta say, those east-west corridors (Interstate highways) are certainly "timesavers" on a journey of 30-35 hours (~1950 miles !, each way) of "drive time".

BTW....I remember when Kansas had a "Safe and Prudent" speed limit on any unmarked roads, until 1963, I believe. (My father took this to heart and often drove @100mph+ on "the turnpike", in his '57 Mercury station wagon with the 460 engine, a model known as the "Turnpike Cruiser".....my Mother often "napped" on these 50-125mile journeys...hehehe)

In driver's ed class(1967 for me) the instructor told us that while some roads are still operating under the "safe and prudent"....it does NOT mean that you can't get a ticket for impeding traffic by going too slow, nor does it mean that you can't get a ticket for "speeding" while driving @ 50mph when the road conditions are icy and treacherous.
Thus the "prudent" part of the equation....pretty damn subjective, imho, huh ?
Good luck out there on the highways, folks....drive safely, definitely be prudent, and ALWAYS be AWARE.

You are quite correct, Fredfish. Even have bumper stickers about that subject.

"Catch and Release ONLY ?.....is simply Rationalized Wildlife Harrassment".

What else CAN you call it ?
...maybe..."entertainment for one species at the expense of a lesser species" ?
...yeah...that's pretty accurate, isn't it ?

And yet....I am still here. And you are apparently still quite fixated on ME.....and feel the need to "reach out, in kind".
Apparently you don't read the "Oregon" section (why would you ?), or you would see my replies to FISHING QUESTIONS.

But hey, isn't "social media" pretty much for entertainment purposes ?
I am certainly entertained and you keep offering much fodder for the replies that I often make.
Don't want my snide replies to your snide posts ?
Easy answer, easy solution.

Quit making it child's play to do so ! Lol.

Hey, Kevin,
Did you happen to read today’s devotion, or watch the videos? I saw your name in the credits…. Good job!

Saw my "name in the credits" ?
Say whaaat ?

I don't ever read your "devotions". Why on earth would a heretic like myself spend any time at all, doing that ?
...hehehe...I have plenty of reading materials that expose me to all the fiction and judgemental "advice" that I find necessary in my life, thank you very much.

Noting this morning's multiple posts by you, Oz.....your sign-off quip must be a guiding (controlling ?) force for your perception that "they" won't 'let' you...hehehe.
But oh, so apropos to you, anyway.

You have a wonderful Sunday and GO CHIEFS !!!

Hey Kenny, welcome to the forum and Southern Oregon.
You have many fishing opportunities nearby to Klamath Falls, just depends on what you wish to target and how you wish to fish for them. Klamath Lake is renowned for its Lake Trout, some quite large, but most folks are in a boat when they are targeting "lakers", rather than shore fishing. Lots of rainbows as well...big, big, but shallow, lake to explore.
My best fishing experiences in your neck of the woods, are on the Sprague and Wood rivers fly-fishing, roaming the winding banks, on the hunt for a deep-ish pool that might hold a fine "brownie" (Brown Trout).
Over here on the west side of the Cascades, in the Rogue Valley/ Medford/Grants Pass area, we of course have the iconic Rogue River....an all-time favorite of Zane Grey, Clark Gable, and so many others (including me) to target salmon, trout and steelhead. The list of fishing opportunities in this quadrant of this beautiful state is almost too extensive to go into, so I highly recommend hitting a tackle shop (or even BiMart) to pick up one of the most helpful things that the ODFW puts out....."50 places to Fish within an hour of (insert city's name...in your case, Klamath Falls)".
Rivers, lakes, fishable creeks, forebays, you name it. I have yet to fish every waterbody in my own Medford area, and I have been here 39+ years !
In addition, it's only another 2 hours over to the coast, and MANY more choices there, as well as on the way getting there....absolutely no shortage of choices. And yes....even some "bass-ing opportunities".
(Personally don't care one iota...grew up in Kansas, fishing for "the big inedibles"...been there, done (WITH) that....forever, thankfully. But you are more than welcome to my share...lol)
Again, pick up an ODFW pamphlet for starters, and maybe PM (see top of into page for links and instructions) "Ruffplay", a forum member who regularly contributes and lives in KFalls. (While the suggestion of "Jeremy " is okay, he does live up in the other end of the state, sooo..??)
Good luck on your quest, and keep us posted on your "assimilation to the area".

And for goodness' sake....bundle up over there !! The weather on that side of the Cascades can be kind of brutal this time of year !

Well, to appease Plum's "disappointment" that no "non-believers" have answered (except mistred64...sorta), I can now post after reading those missives that came before on this thread.

Condolences to all that have lost a spouse, family member, or close friend, and don't feel that any celebration is the correct emotion at this time. We have all lost loved ones and those who are special to us. Some have triggers that may dredge up memories that are hard to handle, especially when the general population seems to be in the midst of frivolity and merriment due to the "holiday".....or possibly because they got a smokin' deal on that 65" TV they've been longing for so very long, now. (that would be me, thanks Best Buy).

To many of us non-believers, the only "special thing" about this time of year, is the season has finally changed, we've pulled out the long johns and furry caps, found that pair of mittens that fold back to become fingerless gloves, traded the breathable waders for the neoprene ones and.....GO STEELHEADING !
(BTW...that's what I ALWAYS do on December 25th.....peaceful and rarely any wait at the put-in ramps, usually only us infidels)

I always like to end my late nights by enjoying humorous entertainment. Tonight, instead of Kimmel or Colbert or the Daily show, I chose to read this thread.
No guffaws, but lots of chuckles. Thanks Randyhartford for the weaseling, and of course, to Plumbob, for expressing how butt hurt he was that he was unable to stir the pot enough for some knee-jerk reactions, so that he and Randy and a few others, could then harangue for not adhering to their beliefs and "the reason for the season".
Well....here I am, go for it, lads.

It's just another man-made day, on a man-made calendar, spurred by a man-made (and written) best-selling book, and between manufacturers, merchants, consumers, and evangelists, a buttload of money goes through many hands at this time of year....now THAT I find to be the most humorous gift anyone could ever bestow upon me...so.... much thanks to all, and to all a goodnight !

I totally agree, and apologies to Wulffy, but again..I didn't cause the thread to sway, Randyhartford did.

As much as I appreciate you trying to play "director", I can only do so with the hope that you are communicating with ALL THE ACTORS, not just me.

Hope springs eternal.

I have no problem with anyone knowing that it's me he's spewing about.

I didn't bring up, Randyhartford did.....tell HIM to take it to " the attic".

Anyplace, anywhere, anytime...as long as Randy continues to spew his prattle about me and my late Father, I have the time and impetus to respond....count on it.

Just stop bringing it up in all your threads like you did on Monday, and then act like you have no idea why I responded as I did.
Let me make it clear so you’ll stop thinking I’m delusional. Here’s what you posted:
Listening to someone else's opinion or belief without telling them they are wrong
(Do you see the words “opinion or belief” in YOUR post??) YOU are the one who started the discussion on “religion” with those words! You thought you were sneaking in a punch at me, but I and others caught it. You and your band of opposers surely are not that dull/blind.
(Or maybe they are)

That was a direct reference to my post to you previously:
It is NOT our own belief, Greg. It is the “belief” in God.
He IS THE AUTHORITY. He created it all and is omnipotent and omniscient. We know what HE SAYS, is the truth. There is only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus. If you really think there is another way, I’m sorry. You are mistaken.

Now do you remember??
That’s the reason I responded to your thread as I did! I can’t imagine that NONE of the seven guys that joined you in opposition to me, God, and His Word didn’t catch it. Either they weren’t trying to see it or they were not being honest. Not really any surprise to me though. Five of those seven guys have either lied TO
me or ABOUT me. They know who they are. One has even been trying for the past YEAR to convince FS members that I lied about his “Father”, when in fact it was he who posted ALL the “quips” that his dad supposedly said. In his defense, he actually may not even remember posting all that stuff, because of his practice of using drugs 3+ times a day - or at least that’s what he posted back then
(4/5/21 19:03)

A person is either FOR God or AGAINST Him. It sounds like you have made your choice, so I will try to quit bothering you. 🙏🏻
I get it, Greg - enough already. br Just stop brin... (show quote)

And here we are...still waiting for you to back your words by re-posting my "quip my Father said".
Can't do it, cause it doesn't exist, does it ?
If you can find where I said that I smoke Marijuana 3 times a day (which is true, & fairly normal for those of us who use cannibus for pain abatement, as well as "recreational"), you can surely find that disgusting "quip" that YOU said that I shared.....so what's the hang-up ?

If you keep bringing it up (and continue lying, you bible-thumping hypocrite)....I will be here to refute, challenge, disparage, what have you...anything you spew about me, my Father, and yes....defend anyone's choice not to take the path that you have chosen.

To continue to harangue me, and refuse to offer proof or else apologize for being mistaken...either is wholly acceptable...is to accept that I will ALWAYS have a bone to pick with you. And my teeth, while sharp now, can always become sharper.

Hehehe..."sharp"....not a word that I will ever associate with you, Randyhartford.

Many of us have lived long enough to have seen it all. I think many of us grew so tired of the constant attack on goodness that we just retreated partly for self preservation, partly for impotence in the face of the overwhelming power of moneyed folk driving the attack. Truer words have never before been spoken on this site. Thank you, Greywulff. I have long admired your forthrightness, and often obscure, but 'spot on' wit.

This particular thread has been rather revelationary, in that some of the observations of others, some that I would not have expected, but certainly welcome, that have spoken out on this judgemental parse that seems to have wider observance than I could imagine.
My personal diatribe with Randy is well-known, if you have been on the forum very long. Kinda sad, since we went to high schools not far from each other and he lives in Lawrence, where my sister lives today.
His defamatory statements (several times, aimed directly at me, and a couple of times, actually at my late United Methodist minister Father !) have long been the bane of my participation in this forum....a most un-Christian behavior by Randy, to be certain.
To constantly harp on folks for not embracing YOUR RELIGION AND WORLD VIEW, is simply narcissistic and narrow minded....nothing less, nothing more.
I thank those that were perfunctory in their stances against such....bigotry......let's call it what it is.

I have memories of when the subjects of the opening of this thread were of the utmost importance among "men of worth", merely in order to maintain normal civility. That would be my "wish we could go back" thought. But obviously we cannot.

So we adapt, accept others' "failures of our mind's-eye expectations", and above all, continue to strive to be the loving, hopeful, "honest to the point of recklessness" people, that we not only wish to be, but are in fact, actually ARE.

Good luck to us all.
