Just some random thoughts. The following things died years ago. It's unlikely they will come back.

Customer service
Manners
Boundaries (anything goes now)
A man's word
Listening to someone else's opinion or belief without telling them they are wrong
Respecting elders
Being considerate of others

Feel free to add to this list. I won't say things were better 50 or 60 years ago, but they sure were different.

I think Common Sense is the top one. If there was Common Sense, then everything else on the list would fall into place.

Are they dead or just greatly diminished?? Either way it is a deep sadness.

Selfish people can’t handle doing the right thing. It was less than 50 years but it’s sad. Just read how people treat others even on here. It’s not the right way to roll.

Most any honest Christian would try to correct someone who believes in a false doctrine/belief that would lead to eternal death to that person or any who believe it. Any belief (or opinion) that directly goes against God’s word will send a person to hell. That’s the truth. Not anyone’s opinion.
This is what the Bible says:

“Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭30‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sorry to “blast” you again. I sincerely am trying to save you from yourself.
Until you learn that you can not do it all on your own, and that you NEED a Saviour, you will continue down the same path to destruction. Not one of us can do it on our own. That’s the reason Jesus came from Heaven to earth - to die, so we might live.
Why do you not believe this?

My opinion it was way better 50 years ago. Families were strong and I believe that made a difference. The amount of people w mental illness, entitlement mentality and on drugs, illegal or prescription is astounding.

We can't expect a teenager or even a 30's something to comprehend the things we're telling them we did, seen, or bought or wasn't invented yet 60 years ago. when we were kids or young men. They don't get it we paid 19 cents a gallon for gas, only had landline phones or we had three channels if we had a TV and it wasn't a color TV for a long time. Many of us got our food pecking around in the yard or mooing in the barn or the pasture, also there's a lot of single parent families that don't teach or know how to show young people how to do what we did and still know how to do.

1. Physical Education (my 6th grade grandson can't do a single pull-up -- whatever happened to the Presidential Fitness Program)

2. Knowing why God gave you two ears but only one mouth.

3. Remembering anyone's phone number.

I’ve still got my Presidential Fitness patch from 57-58 years ago, Papa.
Haven’t heard anyone even mention that program for many years… 👍
