Had a fun day out there! The fish fry was delicious too! 51' of water on my own homemade worm harnesses to boot!

Where did you find 51' of water in Lake Erie?

Very nice and they can pull. Great fish and there's lots of them.

I've never seen that catfish in United States and I thought I had seen them all. What is it and where is it from.

So I’m going to go fishing in about a month and I need something to keep the fish alive while I’m out. I need something for saltwater fish (not giant ones, just fish like croakers and flounder, just going to fish off a dock). I’m not sure what I could use or where I could find something. Maybe some sort of basket like thing I can throw into the water after putting the fish in?

If you're feeding them why would they take your bait? They're full and you have pet fish!

Cute reply!!

I was considering making one of these my next rig. I fish a lot of bass tournaments but also would like to enjoy the occasional family out with the wife and kiddos. Just wondering if anyone on here knows much about these. Good or Bad all input is welcome!

Great Boat but way overpriced. Just like the whalers you pay too big a premium for the name. Unless you have more money than you need shop around. Do some research.

In 70 years of fishing I have had many many knives but the best I still have is the Fisherman's Solution which I
still use whenever I get lucky. You'll love it if you get one.

How do I stop this? What am I doing wrong? I am trying to target Whiting and everyone in the bait shops down here (Beaufort, SC area) recommended shrimp. I’m also using a high-low rig they recommended as well. Do I need smaller hooks, bigger hooks? I can feel that I’m getting bites, but I think it’s just small bait fish nibbling at it. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

You have run into schools of Puffer Fish probably. Use small long shank hooks and small pieces of shrimp with no shell on. If that is what's bothering you you'll find out, when you see their teeth you'll understand how they snip off your bait. They are fantastic to eat so all is not lost much better eating than Whiting.

Got out with a friend on Lake Huron and locate a school of good size Smallies. Fished a complex of shallow rock reefs in Thunderbay out of Alpena Michigan. Was able to catch and release about 20 or so fish in 2 mornings.

In 81 years I have been blessed enough to catch many species of fish saltwater and fresh but I still have the fondest memories catching small mouth. Such a fighter and beautiful fish I love them and your pictures refresh some really great memories. You guys had a great couple of days. Thanks for the photos.

I had a spot in (Lake Erie if that is where you fish) I didn't troll just drift slowly in the areas I wanted to target and I would beat the trollers to death. Where exactly do you fish. Are you anywhere near where the river dumps into the lake.

Try cat fish about an hour after dark until an hour before light they hunt in shallow water usually near shore. If you don't catch catfish during those hours they aren't there.

I can tell by the happy look on the lady she doesn't bother bringing a couple books to read like my wife, she brings her fishin stuff. Women are patient and when they get good at something they are hard to beat. Love to see it.
