I was considering making one of these my next rig. I fish a lot of bass tournaments but also would like to enjoy the occasional family out with the wife and kiddos. Just wondering if anyone on here knows much about these. Good or Bad all input is welcome!

I’ve owned my ProV18 since 2000 and it’s been a good boat. BUT to replace it I would buy a boat with little or NO plywood in it. I’m on the third floor and now I suspect the transom needs work. If Bass tournaments are your basic interest then buy a Bass boat for that. The ProV is not specifically a bass boat. You are quite high off the water to pitch and flip in tight areas. It needs a long shaft trolling motor. I used it to fish for trout in Maine, Bass tournaments in Maine, trolling with a kicker, caught snook, trout, shark and everything in between in southwest Florida and trailered it over I95 at xxmph. 😉
I bought a single axle trailer designated for the next bigger size boat to haul it wherever I wanted. I cut almost 2ft off the tongue to suit the length of my boat and it is a bunk trailer, not a roller. Mine has a Vmax HPDI and the motor has been awesome. With a stainless cruise prop it does 51mph loaded and a factory max rpm.
There you have it. Protected the wood floors last awhile but not forever and are a pita to replace. Good luck with your new boat.

Thanks for the input. If I go with a Lund it will definitely be the Pro v BASS style boat they have. My passion is around bass fishing for sure, but the deal breaker with wifey was that it has to be something the whole family (4) can enjoy for rides and fun! With that being said, so far I think this might be the best option that covers as much as the best of both worlds. I done a lot of researching and everything else just seems like it has too much of a Deep V style for bass fishing, or too much of a shallow water bass boat with no or limited family-like amenities. I also looked at a few fish and ski models, but most of them don't pass much of the test for bass fishing, and the one I saw that does (Nitro's fish and ski) seemed like it was made cheap, and I didn't really care for the look or walk-through windshield.

Almost every boat manufacturer makes a Fish N Ski model. I've owned two, a Stratos and a VIP. Don't know if they are still in business but I loved VIP's model. Looked just like a double console bass boat. For outings with family the front deck converted to an open bow with cushioned seats and a ski bar mounted on the rear deck. Man, I miss that boat. Even fished tournaments with it.

Thanks for sharing NoCal Steve, I have never heard of VIP but did take a quick look at the website and doesn't seem like they have much for bass fishing set ups. However, you're right about the fish and ski, most freshwater boat manufacturers have them but they are often not of bass style if they do. Stratos did have one at a time, but to your point, they no longer make that brand.

I have a 16 1/2 deep V Lund and love it. Bought it from a widow and they only fished big waters in Canada. Have used it in Canada and local in Kansas
This was my 1st boat ever and I am not an experienced boater.
I think you need to figure out what your going to use it for most of time and than go for it

I looked up the 1875 and the 2075. Nice rigs. I hadn’t realized that Lund brought these back. They are lower to the water, not such a deep-v as the ProV tournament series. I would have bought the Bass series but they discontinued them for awhile. It’s a better choice for typical bass fishing than the ProV tournament series. If you are going to compete, even locally, then power up with the biggest motor you can put on it. Not sure what top end is on these. Check closely the live well capabilities, bait well, batteries accommodated, rod storage, etc etc..

Good tips Greeny and Check Mark on all the above. I've done most of the research and they top out at about 60 with a 250 HP fully loaded which is just fine for what I do in tournaments. I also like the fact that they hold two and three Bank on board chargers together which is nice for additional battery power for electronics etc. Not sure on the live well capacity though will need to take a look at that. Outside of that storage and space as well as proximity to the water when fishing from the bow or rear for a coangler seem solid!

Great Boat but way overpriced. Just like the whalers you pay too big a premium for the name. Unless you have more money than you need shop around. Do some research.
