What kinda fish are these. Are they are they any good to eat. How do you fish for them. What’s the best lures to use. Any favorite color of lures. Do you use any attractants on your lures. Have you ever caught any of these, do you have any pictures

Mine are temporarily "living" with me. Mom and Dad have split up (nasty) and Mom (my daughte) just started a new job, so while they're out of school and she's working grandma and grandpa Spirit are providing day care and for the first couple of weeks, night care too. I do not mind they are both good kids, and one of them loves to fish. She's out-fished me so far this year.

Thanks for the pics FT. Looks like time well spent.

Good on you Spirit sounds like they are at the right place.. pretty cool there out fishing you you must have taught them well🇺🇸

OK, is this dedication or what!

This Saturday I will hop into my car (early 5:30am) and begin the first of three driving legs to go fishing with my Best Friend. Here's where the dedication comes in. Leg one of my trip will take me from home (San Diego) to Grand Junction, CO 836 miles, approximately 12 hours, plus various stops for gas, bathroom & rolled tacos whatever comes first.

I'll do an overnight at the lovely 5-Star Econo Lodge in Grand Junction. Early Sunday morning (6:00am) I start leg two, Grand Junction, CO to Ft Collins, CO. 305 miles, approximately 5 hours, plus....well you know by now, roll tacos, etc., etc. I arrive in Ft Collins around 1:00pm. This is where my Best Friend enters the picture. He's spent 6 hours or so driving from Salinas, KS. We spend the night at his nephew's home catching up on the year past...lots to talk about considering all that's gone on this past year.

Bright & early (not too early) we leave Ft Collins heading for Steamboat Lake, CO., about a 4 hour drive. Now you've got two old guys (75) swapping fishing lies, laughing & scratching and having a good time...oh yes, more rolled tacos somewhere along the way. This is an annual fishing trip that we two old buzzards have done once a year for the last 10+ years...It's tradition!

Covid-19 is pushing us into a leap of faith, but at our age and given the history of things, we're not too concerned and will take all the needed precautions. We always practiced Social Distancing anyway when we fish, placing our portable chairs about 6 feet apart placing the appropriate cooler between us. It's all good!

Steamboat Lake, CO is one of the prettiest lakes on earth and in 10+ years we've never not caught trout...usually our limits in a couple of hours. We've rented a little cabin near the lake and will spend 5 days drowning Power bait & reelin' em in! Old traditions need to be maintained!

Old fishermen never die, they just switch poles!
OK, is this dedication or what! br br This Saturd... (show quote)

Well I hope you guys have the best trip you never know when you can’t no more.. I hope you guys catch pb’s and don’t even have the need to tell us just enjoy the ride and each other’s company🇺🇸 This sort of thing makes me envious I’m wishing you all great things🇺🇸

The correct answer is Woolley bugger

These also work excellent for crappie under a bobber tipped with a minnow or crappie nibble power bait.. have caught many this way in the spring casting at docks🇺🇸

Just spent 4 days on the Columbia River walleye fishing. Got enough for a good fish fry but it took some effort. Had to dodge falling trees and a boat on the river was not an option. 5 to 8 foot waves makes a boat stay on the trailer down there😬

Good eats and got a few dandy’s nice work🇺🇸

I have this soft swimbait on a 4/0 offset hook Texas rigged with no weight and it keeps spinning but idk why. I rigged it basically perfectly straight. Also the paddletail has barely any action.

I for one don't have a lot of trust for what I see on the internet, so I'll look and then come on hear and act all ignorant, and I like to discuss stuff with other folks, get their opinions and let em make damn fools outa themselves sometimes. Myself included in that.

Lol I can agree with that and everybody loves biased news right I know I would rather read things here than internet🇺🇸

I’m prefishing today on Truman Lake for a tournament this weekend. I would share the info on the bite, however, I’m being told some of my competitors are looking at this site and the info I post. So I’ll hold off and let everyone know how it went on Sunday or Monday.
