Usually have a buck ranger on my belt. It's one of the originals with the non wood handle.
Then I have a clip point lock blade made in Taiwan . Might be a cheap one but it has an edge on it I could shave with. Most all my knives do though.
Use to carry a case trapper for years, then went to a lock blade. Safer to use.

Locking blade is good. Less bloody fingers and whatever elses.

Yeah Saw I’m a buck man myself. Jeremy you strike me as one that wouldn’t let a little blood bother you.

Folding Buck Hunter for heavy work.
A small cheap Stainless steel pocket knife for light work. Has a thick back to it. I use a mill file on the Stainless Steel one, when I want to make it sharp again. It cuts Braid line and opens boxes real nice.
The Foldig Hunter I use nothing but Really fine and slightly courser Whetstones on with cutting oil. And yes you can Dry Shave with the buck. But I don't. Those stones make it really sharp with a 70 Degree angle not the factory 45.

Kinda surprised that case among others are not that popular. Pricing maybe? Personally I think the case knives are overpriced.

Most of them are. My old yellow handled trapper is pretty expensive now. Musta carried it for 20+ years. Use to fly with it in my pocket all the time. Guess that'll never happen again.

My EDC is a Benchmade Griptilian half serrated blade. When working around the house, it is a SOG folder. Fishing is a Ozark Trail that I bought at Walmart on the clearance aisle for $3. All have razor edges, as do all my knives, as a Marine should never be caught with a dull blade.
