Keep the reports coming Andy. I look forward to them first thing in my morning. I can’t get around good anymore, and I enjoy seeing you with your morning catch. My cousin, who you worked with, Larry Vance, would catch tons of perch every Spring and him and his brother-in-law would host a fish fry for our Church as a fund raiser. Us former Shipyard guys need to stick together and can’t be bullied by some hurray for me know it all that thinks their opinion matters. I’m sure the folks that you supply with fish appreciate your generosity.

RJ, I only knew of two that I truely loved. One was RJ's near Jennings and the other was in Lake Charles. It was PawPaw's. It had the best ever Catfish Courtbouillion.

Totally does not make sense to punish the recreational fishermen vs the commercial. In Bama this year Commercial Red Snapper harvest was down by half. So, the powers to be did the fair thing. They kept the recreational season the same, but reduced the recreational catch to match percentages with what the commecial boys caught. I believe the only reason it was down was the $^!**% weather we had and the commercial boys could'nt fish as much as last year. Alabama has the largest manmade atrificial reef system in the US, and it is loaded with all varieties of snappers and reef fishes. Not just Red Snapper. Good luck with your dilemma. Write your congressman.

Nice fish. Just came back from Lake G two weeks ago. My wife slayed the bream. She used up 500 crickets. No comment on the F.O.R.D.

Wow! those are dark colored. Nice catch. That bass will just be bigger tomorrow. Every bite in that area from now on will be a heart stopper.

Deadlake has the prettiest and darkest fish I have ever seen. The bass were bedding all around the pier in Guntersville and boy did them local guys know it. They would even come at night with lights and fish.

I never leave the dock without several cane poles. They are my go to for fresh water fishing. I do the same thing, with fish. Before he died, I took my father in law fishing alot. He could'nt see the cork so I would say "Get him POP" and he would.

Nice mess o' bream there, Bigmark! How big do you reckon that bass was?

I honestly don't know, but would guess double digit for sure.

Thanks for that. Atleast I got to see it. I believe a basketball would have fit in it's mouth. Probably would have lost it if the line did'nt break. It was all I could do to hold on to the cane pole with both hands! Wife was up at the house, so no body near to net it.

Finally got out to go fishing for a week on Lake Guntersville. My wife used 500 crickets in five days. I wouldn't let her keep all of the bream she caught. The pic you have to download to open is a typical days catch off of the pier. The first pic is a sucker that I just don't care for. It was about 2 1/2 -3 feet long. I did lose a really big bass, it broke 17 lb test line. I did get to see it. It was a stud, biggest bass i've ever hooked on a cane pole or anything else. Was fishing with 8" live nightcrawlers.

The Goggle eyes and bluegills came from Deadlake this past Saturday.

I was in a deer climbing stand on a small creek the first time I ever heard that. I also still kinda young and it scared the poopie out of me. I thought for sure a rougarou was coming for me.

I was willing to go if needed, but missed it by four years. I met one of the more famous POW MIA's that came to our school and spoke not long after he returned home. I was at his family's house later that day and overheard him talking to others about the number of POW's still being held. The rumors are very true. Over 830 POW/MIA we held hostage for billions and it was not paid. Clinton, Ford, and Reagan all knew it. Some were pawned off on the Russians and Chinese later dieing in labor camps and or tortured to death. Some trapped in the jungles of Cambodia. God comforts these souls now and to hell with the VC, NVA, Communist China and Russian Communists.
