Well lets try this again.
It seems that my early on set dementia is coming on strong. I tried to post this earlier but l didn't save the pictures to a place that I could get to. Oh well bare with me.
I went fishing last Thursday and had a pretty good day at Diamond Valley.
We caught about 20 dink large mouth to 12 inches, one really nice one that pushed the scale to 4 lb 8 oz
Another just barely over 2 and then we ran into a nice lighting trout that weighed 4 lbs 2 oz.
So all in all a pretty good day

Lake Skinner near Temula, Diamond Valley Reservoir close to Hemet.lrvine Lake.
And several more. Lake Peris.
Look them up and you will catch fish.
I'm posting some of from Diamond Valley Reservoir tonight. There's good fishing in SO Cal you just need to get out and go through the learning curves.

Great story, l hooked a sturgeon on the Columbia one evening with family and friends around the campfire.
I had 40 lb braid with a 13 ft rod and it was like hooking into a jeep in low gear. It just swam away, l could not turn it, no way.
I finally just cranked the drag down and snapped it off.
I have since caught a 9ft 6 in and one a bit over 10 ft which l could not keep.
They are fun to battle and they are pretty tasty indeed.
Thank you again for the pictures ☺️

Nice fish indeed!
I'm sorry that I missed you today, my friend Eric busted a post on a bridge in his mouth yesterday and was lucky to get into his dentist this morning, l just got a text from him and he spent a miserable hour in the chair as they had to figure the implant out.
We are shooting for next Thursday and I would like to see there again.
Eric had a pretty good week, out 3 times always caught 8 to 10 fish, mostly under 2 lbs but 2 nice ones like yours.
I will try to call you tomorrow

The only cats that I have caught trolling were flat heads.
I generally just soak bait for blues and channel cats
My favorite bait is shrimp from the grocery store in the seafood section. The cheapest of selection.
Works for me, good luck ☺️
