I used to fish Banks years ago and my brother in law is heading that way in the next 2 weeks. Does anyone have a report that l can pass on.

Great lake. I have not been there since last fall so I don't have anything current. That being said, I was there Early spring two years ago. The Whitefish were in their usual haunt, deep deep deep. The best Largemouth fishing was in the punch bowl. Crappie and perch as well as smallmouth were hanging off the west side of Castle Rock. As I said, this was not this year, but good starting points. We only got one small walleye that year. Just an FYI, the folks next to us drove up to Roosevelt and fished from the bank by the fish traps. They were back by 11:00 am with limits of nice size trout. Might give Rufus Woods a shot while in that area. I caught an 8 lb triploid (plus others) while anchored by the net pens. Power bait and/or black jigs.
