There are 4 dams on the Snake river and 4 more on the Columbia river. They all have fish ladders for the fish to go around these dams.
Really neat to do down into the fish viewing rooms and watch . They employ people to count fish going up stream so they know what the run is doing count wise.
So the fish are not land locked like some people think.
