Hi there. I'm a long haul trucker. I've driven on the 95 South along the Salmon River. Of all the Rivers in America the Salmon River is the prettiest. Someday soon I plan to pull over and fish for a couple of days. I'm a rookie angler. Any advice what fish are biting. What bait and test to use. Thank you, Derek
And where in the hell is the Salmon River? Ain't it got salmon in it? Please udate your profile and tell us where you're at and you'll get better information. And welcome to the stage. Maybe somebody on here knows where it's at.
Salmon River on the 95 through Idaho.
I thought odd #'s ran north and south. Like 95 Florida to Maine and 70 goes east west from MD to California.
Bring me up to speed please DB since you are on the road more than i.

I believe it does and flows into the Snake somewhere. Derek, most likely trout and steelhead, if I remember right that's a fast flowing stream with lotsa rocks so maybe 10 or 12 lb. test and small spinners like Mepps or panther martinis. I've never fished that river specifically but most of the rivers in that area are trout streams.

Plum, I google the Salmon River and it runs N. & S. & W. & E. It does have very big salmon in it. It could be something to put on your bucket list. DB, I would talk to aa good local sporting goods store to see what they have to say.

Charter a raft trip. You will see a lot of beautiful country. And you can have some great fishing along the way. If your gone several days. Fly fishing is super there.
I think that's the river that they filmed River Wild on.
