Guess he thought his 4X4 could go anywhere
Gotta love it when it's a Benz ! No tags, but I will bet doughnuts to dollars, we are looking at a Cali or Florida beach.... the disparate ratio of high income/inexplicable bravado....versus common sense, seems to have extraordinarily large populations in both states.

Fraser island beach Australia
They were Only following the GPS directions.
Not even sure a wrecker can get that one out. After the next incoming, not sure I’d want to even try.

Forest gump said it best.
Well I haven't done it on the "Beach", but growing up in Arizona, I learned what to have in the trunk of the car.
A couple pieces of 2X12X12 for a solid base for the jack.
2 pieces of Heavy Duty screening 12 inch by 3 feet, with 10 feet of heavy twine/string to tie to the screen and the rear door handles, so I didn't have to go back for them once the car was on more solid sand/dirt.
A short handled shovel, to be used carefully near the tires.
Back then we didn't have the portable tire pumps, and bicycle tire pumps are a real pain to use on car tires on the car.
You have no idea how many times I've seen this and worse . At least this one had either four or all wheel drive. I've seen BMW'S Honda accords and many others stuck. Even with four wheel drives, if you don't air down you are going to get stuck unless you're on a beach like Daytona where the sand is packed like a rock.i carry a 7K tow strap for these occasions, but it comes with a 15 minute lecture on driving on the beach. I had a guy come up to my truck on day and ask if I could pull him out. I looked over and he'd buried a PorscheCayenne to the frame. I just smiled a offered him my shovel. I did finally call for the only tow truck that would come on the beach, but it cost him 450 usd. I think he worked a deal with the tow and the guy in a Jeep who was stuck 100yards down the beach. Pretty sure he did both for 600.
