They are in. To Cedar Creek and beyond. With this rain, there should be biters.
You might be able to throw a pot in from the beach over there by the jaws. I'm not sure. But for salmon, you best get down to the Salmon river. NOW might just be the right time for big Chinook.
It's no longer takes me to post from my area in Northwest Oregon. Where did they go?
Holy catfish! That don't sound so good. 🫣
If you could find your way down to the pipeline hole, that would be the way to go. I have heard that some have made it along the bank. But you better be young and spry. The trail was posted a long time ago. So ridiculous! 😡
From what I noticed the one time I was there last year, it was pretty much a bobber and bait show for the Chinook. The coho were being safeguarded and there were also the weirdest tackle regulations in place there.
You really got to check your regs on that.
You have to time it just right. October often works. Up by the hatchery and down below that not far from the Otis restaurant that burned down on highway 6. I think it is. Parking area hidden inside the trees a bit. Just off the roadway.
Recent reports have been good for the Clack and Sandy. And the Columbia. I remember being around government island in the past and guys were anchor fishing and there were fish caught. But I don't have any more specifics.
Well, it should looks like there was a thief that stole from that valley!
😆
You broke your line on a trout?
I would love to get out to that area.
When I used to do my Carp fishing, I would always bring along a chum for my chumming. Preferably a fella with a strong arm. I would just sprinkle the corn out of the can, into his hand, then he tosses it out there.
That way, if any questions should come along from game wardens, I was simply drop a dime on him.
