I fish tournaments too, the best advice I can give you is go out for a day and scan the lake with your electronics! Side view will really help with that! Go find all the points and structure you are going to fish set a waypoint or mark them some how. Don’t spend a lot of time trying to catch them that day just concentrate on finding them! Then go back and prefish those spots and only try and catch 1 fish from each spot just to make sure they are there. Good luck
There’s 4 lakes in the Roosevelt chain, big lakes with lots of big bass!! The salt river comes out the end towards Apache junction, not to far from you it has some rainbow trout in it along with bass an cats! Lake Pleasant is close and you have some canal fishing too!! Also the White Mountains are full of lakes and rivers(Showlow and Pinetop)
Garmin 7sv I have the 9 and love it!! I bass fish tournaments too! If you can wait and save more I would! Get at least something with down, clear and side view. It’s a key tool in tournament fishing!!!!
