Zebco makes long lasting ones. I got a 33 classic, old but still kicking.

Grew up with closed button Zebco reels. They are the king of closed face spin casting. They are designed as a good reel for the man on a budget. Will last forever if you take care of them. Easy to use and impossible (or almost) to back lash (birds nest). it is a great beginners reel. Never thought I would spend $100.00 for a Zebco. Did and love it. Wife used it and we now have two of them. Model name is Bullet. The other models I would buy today are 33 and 66. You can do no wrong with a Zebco reel.

This is my last crop of the year. One tray of habanero peppers. There's still a few left on the plants to ripen, but I figure there's enough heat here to warm my house for the entire winter.

My oldest son just loves hot peppers. He chilled out a little when he tried on some Carolina Reapers.

Used that one back in the 70's, except it was during a roofing job.
We had high school vocational technical work program kids.

We had high winds and we were up on roof top with a steep angle. The wind was really ripping by and everyone's hat kept blowing off except mine. One boy asked how I was able to keep my hat on. I replied,

* Co-ordination!

He was ok with that.

I use the gum ball machine. Bet that I can get a rose colored gumball from the machine the first time buy I one. Yes they can shake the machine. Every gumball in the machine is rose colored.

Mmmm...looks like some nice bait for fishing! If my identification capabilities are working...you've got some "mealworms" there. Once in a while when I open a new bag of baking flour, I find a few of those rascals hanging out inside and it makes me want to discard the whole bag! Not sure if they would really cause any harm, but I don't like the idea that they were living inside of the flour!

I used to be a dishwasher at a high end restaurant, and when we worked a long shift the chef allowed us to select a nice dinner from the menu...which came with a "mini" loaf of bread. So...I'm sitting on an overturned 5 gallon bucket in the stock room enjoying a shark dinner, and as I cut open the loaf of bread...there inside was baked a giant black cricket! I'm glad that loaf did not end up being served to a guest!

Know what is worse than finding big black cricket? Finding half of a big black cricket.

A Pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won.
The Pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again and it won again.
The local paper read: PASTOR'S A$$ OUT FRONT.
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the Pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.
The next day the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S A$$.
This was too much for the Bishop so he ordered the Pastor to get
rid of the donkey.
The Pastor decided to give it to a Nun in a nearby convent.
The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST A$$ IN TOWN.
The Bishop fainted.
He informed the Nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey so she sold it to a farm for $10.
The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS A$$ FOR $10
This was too much for the Bishop so he ordered the Nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild.
The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER A$$ IS WILD AND FREE.
The Bishop was buried the next day.
The moral of the story is . . . being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery and even shorten your life.
So be yourself and enjoy life.
Stop worrying about everyone else's a** and just cover your own !!!
You'll be a lot happier and live longer!

Yesterday I asked who did you get up early to watch? Well, here is who kept me from going outside to play.

As for the car, I never had a road runner but that muscle car sure would look sweet in my garage.
