Fred that's a great day. You never quit. Good job. I haven't been out too much bc my fishing buddy hurt his shoulder. I've been using time away from water to train for my 400 miles of cycling in September to benefit Children's Cancer Research. Always enjoy your reports.
You still managed a few and way better than sitting at home🙂
Weather don't look too good til later in week.
Oh ur welcome Fred. In my perfect world it would always be blackfish season lol.
Decided to try south side of Fisher's Island today. Absolutely beautiful day. Water has warmed a few degrees to 59. Was 55 last week off Misquamicut. The fishing was almost a carbon copy of last week. Slow about 10 Fluke between my buddy and I but once again managed 2 keepers 20 and 21 inches. When we got home my buddy was too quick with the fileting so all I got was a bag of filet picture🤣. If we can get out next week another few degrees of water temp should really help.
Another good day Fred and they're all better than staying home. I just got back in from south side of Fisher's Island will post results and pics after I get home.
One would have been a keeper about 17 in. The other around 15
Nice job Fred. That's quite a day.
Well it ain't easy here lol. 19 in minimum
Fluke are tasty too. All fish were plentiful back in the day. Overfishing and water quality unfortunately wiping out a lot of fish.
Not many people bother with winter flounder. Not many around. Also no docks are in at boat launches.
