Hi I’m new to St. Augustine and I am going to buy a boat. Any suggestions for the type of boat is best for fishing in this area? I am familiar with South Fla but not NE area. Any help would be appreciated!
Pull your boat trailer to the boat ramp at the Inlet, park it. Get your surfishing gear out and join us down on the beach! Don't forget the sunscreen
WELCOME! you are in a beautiful and legendary place for fishing activity. I spent many weekends in Wabasso/Sabastian/Melbourne areas both with my family and grown up bringing fishing and surfing gear 100 miles from home was well worth the drive. Enjoy all that you do! fishdrifter Florida panhandle
Welcome fish friend, if surf fishing bring light to medium for short cast to catch any smaller baits 10-20' in front of you also to throw jigs/lures. A couple of surfcasting rods 8' to 12' for some casting distance/larger bait (tip: always use circle hooks)
Perfect. There are numerous public beach access points in PCB they are numbered all the way from St Andrews Park to Pinnacle Point on into Inlet Beach area. BUT parking for those public beach walkways is a tricky situation only a seasoned local resident would know.
Nice catch on light tackle! My childhood memories of NJ were of bowfishing carp in a candock lily covered pond on an 8' wooden Jon boat complete with oars and a Larger than Life Big Brother. RIP Brother Gary
Thanks again y'all it adds a whole new meaning to digest! (rim shot & silence) But I have caught large Grouper around a deep water dock with select chunks of a couple of well known breakfast sandwiches (sausage egg cheese) muffin and that other one. Lets see a fishtrap produce that outcome scenario. Fin
Nice catch. Kudos to you fishing in a nice, white blouse. I used to sail out of Sheepshead Bay when I lived in Manhattan. Randazzo's had the best fried calamari!
Philly Cheese Steak hoagie GINO'S (never was one for a squid lunch)
Only where Lake meets the Gulf follow me? Camp Helen Inlet Beach. Massive amounts of bait and more action especially during lulls. It's a tricky parking situation if you decide not to park inside Camp Helen (tip) the last public walkover has 2 parking spaces which will allow you access closest proximity the "Inlet" possible with no hassle except it's a hike nicknamed 85 steps (#of actual wooden steps) to the beach then proceed LEFT approx 300 yards! yep I have a YouTube video I will attempt to send you a link
