Used a tilapia this week for bait off my dock to get this Red. He was released unharmed.

Nice. We use spot heads off the back of the pier.

This is a spot. We have a big spring run which normally around the first of next month to mid April. Right now is the spring sea mullet run. The spot run is after that.We cut the head off the spot and use it as bait and cast out. If they are in there get ready for a ride. Rules are 18-27inches. Under goes back and over goes back. You can only keep one a day. Spots you can keep 50 per day. Sea mullet 200 per day. The fine is $95.00 per fish and $600.00 court cost. They can take your gear or boat. Most times depending on how many over. They take your boat , equipment and license.

Of course. However we are worldwide and try to help no matter where you are. Yes it’s very important to get the information from local stagers. It make work there or it may not. Just trying to help. When you post it goes all over the world and although you are asking for local someone could reply from anywhere as to what they use. Again it may work or not. Just an idea.

I've been matching the hatch. I get myan cichlids and tilapia in my bait trap.
So what's in the water is what they eat.
If spot head's were in my trap we'd fishem.

Thanks again y'all it adds a whole new meaning to digest! (rim shot & silence)
But I have caught large Grouper around a deep water dock with select chunks of a couple of well known breakfast sandwiches (sausage egg cheese) muffin and that other one. Lets see a fishtrap produce that outcome scenario. Fin

As mentioned this site is worldwide. No matter where you are Stagers will try to help. Whatever is posted it may help. It may not but it don’t hurt to try. It is not disrespectful or trying to be smart. It’s just information.
